Our team is small, but we can take care of all your boating needs.  Together we have over 85 years of experience and are dedicated to making sure that you have a great experience here on White Lake.

Dale Harsch – General Manager

Dale came to Whitehall, Michigan in 1986 to build Crosswinds Marine Service.  He has been the driving force behind the development of the marina.  Dale’s passion for engines started at a young age.  He rebuilt his first engine at the age of 14.  In his early years he participated in the Plymouth troubleshooting contest and was ranked nationally.  He also holds a USCG 100 ton Captains license with a towing and sailing endorsement.

Dale attended Wyoming Technical Institute in Laramie, Wyoming.  He is a certified Mercruiser Technician and continues his Mercruiser training annually.  He is also certified in Yanmar, Crusader Marine, Kohler generators and is trained on many other systems.

Dale is married to Elaine Harsch and has three children – Katie graduated from the University of Kentucky, she is married and now lives in Kentucky.  Troy is a graduate of the University of Michigan.  Alex is in his 4th year at Purdue University studying Mechanical Engineering.

Elaine Harsch – Office / Accounting Manager

Elaine came to Whitehall, Michigan in 1986 to help build Crosswinds Marine Service.  Elaine attended the University of Illinois.  She currently serves as the Chairman for the White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce and has volunteered for the Red Cross.

Elaine is married to Dale Harsch and has three children – Katie graduated from the University of Kentucky, she is married and now lives in Kentucky.  Troy is a graduate of the University of Michigan and Alex is in his 4th yearat Purdue University studying Mechanical Engineering.

Eric Harsch – Service Director

Eric started working for Crosswinds in 1986 during the weekends, summers and any other time away from school.  He has a degree from Western Michigan University in Marketing / Sales Promotion and another degree from Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA in Performance / Guitar.  He is a certified Service Manager from Mercury Marine’s Service Manager Institute, USCG 100 ton captains license and a towing sail endorsement.  He has now been at the Marina full time since 1996.  Eric has lived in Whitehall for 29 years and is married to Kimberly Harsch, the Executive Director of the Arts Council of White Lake.  Kim is also involved as an actress at the Howmet Playhouse and the Frauenthal Theatre.  They have 2 children Sky 15 and Jacy 11.  Both children attend Whitehall schools.
